I still have no idea where I'm gonna live, I just submitted my DS-160, and scheduled my visa interview! Everything is just kind of floating and unsure at this point, but I'm gonna make it all come together! I probably need to buy a plane ticket, though...
I'm primarily attending the UW Environmental Programme, because that is the most relevant to the semester I'm getting merits from at home. I'm also gonna take a few courses in some other departments, but it's still not all in place.
If you have any tips or comments on living in Seattle, WA, please write me!
So excited!
Thats gonna be amazing! hope you have a wonderful time :)

I can help out with any questions and connect you with some great people if you would like. Also the southwest is amazing. I have backpacked the world and volunteered across the states so I would love to tell Yuri you the best places to go, and connect you to awesome hosts. Send me an email. Jenaalexandra@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you! I want to meet you so bad and talk to you about Europe! Washington is beautiful. Very rainy. Very wet. Rains a lot. I live in the north San Francisco Bay Area of California. You would like it here a lot too. Seattle is a cool place! Very good coffee and good. :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I live in Portland, OR which is about a three hour drive south from Seattle. I love living here. It's beautiful and green in the Spring and Summer, you will love it! If you ever get the opportunity to come to Portland you should do it, it's a super fun city full of dreadlocked tattooed folks who are into all kinds of cool things! Take care and safe travels!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! This will be great Im sure!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the acceptance! From what I hear, it's a good school, especially for environmental stuff. Washington is wonderful! I think you'll really like it there. Make sure to check out the local independent bookstores, they always have awesome and interesting books that are hard to find. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area of California too, so if you ever want to make a trip down here to check out the city, I'm sure me and Hannah Rouley could suggest lots of fun stuff to do and see.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I live in Olympia, which is about an hour away from Seattle. I have a lot of friends who go to UW, and it's a great school. Seattle has such a great environment. I think you'll fit right in! :)

DeleteHiya, I live in Seattle and I was so happy to here your going to the UW!!! It is an amazing school with a lot of awesome people who love adventure. We all live in the woods so adventure is what we do! We love our art here in seattle as well. Have a good time when you arrive!
ReplyDeleteWASHINGTON IS AMAZING!! It's so beautiful in Seattle. It's city, but so much forest and my-oh-my the photographs you could take. You'll have allot of fun roaming the streets and it would be a great fit for anyone who can handle driving in a mini NewYork or loves to adventure on their bus system. I once took about 3 or 4 buses from Oly, WA to Seattle and met some traveling carnies with our friends who were heading back to Oly just as we had arrived in Seattle because one of the guys doggie had a booboo on his snout from getting in a fight with another dog. We bought shots of whiskey from them cause they were low on bus fare. I feel like you might really enjoy Olympia, WA. ANYWAY, that is so cool, Anna! I really look up to you cause ya just so cool and a great photographer! I live in California, but my family is in Washington and my cousins live in Seattle and I'll be moving to Olympia to attend Evergreen State College next year in the fall. So awesome! Hope to hear more updates of your travels and plans! -S.Elizabeth
